Conservatory Growing
Despite our wishes we don’t have a greenhouse yet so we’ve been making the most of the conservatory that we had built last year and have been raising some seedlings on the window-sills this Spring.
The courgettes are coming on strong, as are some of the beans that we kept over from last years beans. I’ve also sown a whole load of other peas and beans that should be on their way soon. We’ve loads more seeds that we could sow that I collected from flowers last year, including sweet peas, french marigolds and sunflowers, but they seem to have seeded themselves in the garden anyway so there will be no need to raise them ourselves.

The conservatory has been pretty good for overwintering our pelargoniums too. The seem to be taking over the place but are at least adding a bright splash of colour. I haven’t quite decided where in the garden to put them though once it warms up.

Elsewhere, the first of the potatoes have been planted out and the garden is coming on strong. We’ve even been harvesting the chives and the purple sprouting brocoli and I’m sure there are some Spring Onions around the back too.
