Climbing Wall Party

It was one of Morgan’s best friends birthday parties at the weekend. Kids birthday parties here seem to be fairly active affairs. The main options seem to be a swimming party, a ‘soft-play’ party, a cinema party or a climbing wall party. This one was at the climbing wall at the University followed by a party dinner at Ta Med Da on campus.

The children seemed to enjoy the climbing. They all learned a few new holds and had fun playing various games. Of course, with eight 6-7 year old boys things are bound to be a little boisterous but they had fun and I think Llinos who was leading them just about coped without needing a stiff drink afterwards.

Birthday party dinners are a new thing for Ta Med Da and I think this was the first one they had done. The food was all very nice, but possibly a little too nice for kids of this age. Although they all eat fairly healthily, at a party all they really want are biscuits, crisps cakes, jelly and ice-cream, so I think Ta Med Da overdid the salad and healthy options a little! Still, I managed to polish off a few left-over sandwiches and some of the delicious birthday cake!
