Matching Feet

I guess it helps if your feet match fairly well. It’s not essential, but it doesn’t do too much harm. Mine had been a little uneven for a while. My right big toe had most of its toenail missing for some reason and my left ankle had been sore and a little swollen since I tore some ligaments in it a few months ago.

Not to worry though, I put all that to rights yesterday whilst out windsurfing and enjoying my time as a pauper. First of all I managed to smash my right foot against the fin on my board. It didn’t feel too bad at the time, just a little sore. Next, I managed to lose most of the toenail from my big toe on my left foot. I’m not sure how this happened, but half of it has gone and the other half isn’t too happy either.

The knock to my foot didn’t get any better. It soon swelled up pretty badly and before long I was unable to walk on it. It still hurts this morning, so much so that I won’t be out enjoying the winds today or going for my planned run. Oh well, at least I have matching feet now, with two sore ankles and toenails missing from both of my big toes.

And now an apology, as you are now going to have to see a photo of my feet and their missing big toenails… Sorry!
