Ceredigion Moths – Several New Garden Records

With rain forecast for later in the night I wasn’t sure whether to put the moth trap out, but in the end decided to risk it.

It was fine in the end as I was up at 4am so able to get the trap in before it started raining properly. There was a nice selection of moths in the trap too, including quite a few new garden records.

  • 2x Heart and Dart
  • 1x Clouded Border*
  • 1x Common Carpet
  • 1x Water Carpet
  • 1x Foxglove Pug
  • 2x Small Square-spot
  • 1x Brown Silver-line
  • 1x Brown Rustic*
  • 1x Small Magpie*
  • 1x Rustic Shoulder-knot

I may put the trap out again tonight if time allows.
