Aqualyx Injections – What to Expect Before, During, and After?

If you’ve ever looked at a mirror and are dissatisfied with what you see, you are not alone. Sometimes, no matter what we do, there will always be something we’re not happy with – be it that double chin, those unsightly love handles or saddle bags, and those hefty upper arms that won’t give up the fat deposits even after the strictest exercise routine or the most rigid diet regimen. If you have tried all you can think of to get rid of those sad fat deposits, but nothing has worked, there’s one more solution left to try: Aqualyx injections. Most people who have had the injections swear by them, and there’s no reason you shouldn’t, either – the injections are safe to use and have no side effects, and the results are said to be permanent. One thing’s for sure – it’s better than liposuction! But what can you expect with the injections? Here’s your guide to Aqualyx injections – what to expect before, during, and after.

Before the treatment

Before the treatment, a physician or specialist will meet with you to discuss the areas which you would like to have treated, be it your chin, your tummy, thighs, saddle bags, back (especially the area where the bra is usually placed, named bra fat), or more. They will also assess whether you are healthy enough for treatment, as people who are pregnant and breastfeeding and who have a history of chronic or acute skin disease are not recommended for the treatment. In addition, those with severe allergic reactions are not recommended for the treatment, as are those with a severe illness, autoimmune condition, or diabetes.

During the treatment

Once you are cleared, you will be made to relax and lie down. The treatment is supposed to last from half an hour to an hour, and the specialist will inject the Aqualyx injection into the targeted areas along with a local anaesthetic – to learn more about the procedure, you can click here. The injection used for the treatment is usually thin and fine, and the solution is directly injected into the tissue. After the injection treatment, the area may appear bruised and swollen, but this only lasts for a day or two days.

After the treatment

Immediately after the treatment, your skin may look reddish and bruised, and some slight swelling may occur. You don’t have to worry about this, as it is normal. It will subside in a few days. But it is essential not to apply any makeup or cosmetics to the area 12 hours from the time it was treated, and it is best to avoid exposure to radiation and heat – stay away from UV rays, the sun, the sauna and tanning bed, etc. It is also best to avoid intense or strenuous exercises for at least seven days.

The treatment will become visible in about two days (48 hours), although specialists recommend waiting up to four weeks to six weeks to see the full effects. If you are not entirely satisfied with the treatment, you can repeat the process three to five times in four to six weeks to see the desired results. The results are generally permanent, but it is crucial to stick to a strict exercise and diet routine.
