5 Star Windsurf Session

Just a few clips from what was a 5 star windsurf session on Sunday. In fact it was a 5 star day really. First up was a walk along the beach and through the dunes. It wasn’t the nicest of days but it was warm and dry, just a little cloudy with a stiff breeze. I did think about going windsurfing then but decided to head off to the hill instead to try out my new bike and go for a run. S0, after a bit of a trail fest I returned home, had a late lunch and then headed over to the beach for what turned out to be the perfect windsurf session.

The wind had picked up by now and the sun was shining. The sea was looking lovely with plenty of waves, loads of white-water but not huge and menacing despite the 25-30 knot SW wind that was blowing. I rigged my 5m sail and my 85 ltr Naish Hybrid wave board and got on the water. I was well powered the whole time and soon jumping and gybing to my hearts content. My legs were cramping a little from the earlier bike and run sessions, but only whilst in the air. My gybing was good too. We need more days like these, the sunshine makes so much difference when on the water.
