End of Year Windsurf

December seems to be remaining surprisingly mild this year and thankfully brought with it plenty of wind between Christmas and New year, so it was business as usual here with plenty of windsurfing.

Steve and AndyW joined me and there were a number of kite-surfers out too including Spooker, Neal, Neil, Andy, Dunk and probably a few others. It’s nice to have other people to sail with for a change. We were all well-powered on our 5m sails and little wave boards. The conditions weren’t great for jumping or wave-riding as it was dead onshore, but it was perfect for big long blasts through the whitewater all the way to Borth and back.

After 3 long hours of non-stop sailing though I was exhausted and my hands were cold. At least there was still a supply of mince pies and other goodies at home. As you can see from the video below, the sun was shining too, what more could we ask for?
