Bristol BikeFest

I thought my ‘racing season’ was over for the year but I’ve been talked into one final event on October 16th in Ashton Court, Bristol.

The OktoberFest, part of the Bristol Bikefest series of races consists of several races, you can pick from one of two 4 hours events or the 8 hour event. I’ve been signed up for one of the shorter, 4 hour events. The course is a 5.5 mile lap and the idea is to see how many laps you can complete in the allotted time.

I’m not expecting any great number of laps myself, but it should be fun and 4 hours in the saddle is plenty – Especially considering what the weather can be like at this time of year. Lets hope my legs are ready for it!

If I can, I shall arrive early though and take some photos of the riders in the preceding 4 hour race and those doing the 8 eight race.
