Springtime in the Garden

Spring is here and the garden is bursting into life. We’ve had a lot of rain though so much of it is still under-water. This has been causing issues with our plumbing as well as preventing me from doing any work in the garden. The water feature has quite a pond surrounding it at the moment which the irises and marsh marigolds seem to love. Elsewhere there are spring flowers brightening up the place and enjoying the sunshine.

I guess really I should get out there and start getting the garden ready for summer. I have managed to tidy a few things up and mow the lawn, and we managed to get down to the bee hives at the weekend for the first inspection of the year too.
