More Bargains with Quidco
I took the plunge the other day and ordered the Garmin Fenix 3 watch that I’ve been wanting for a while to replace my Forerunner 910XT. It’s a ridiculous amount of money for a watch, especially as I wanted the Sapphire Glass version with the new ‘Run’ Heart Rate Monitor Strap, but it’s nice to treat yourself now and then.
The main problem is that I won’t be getting it for a while as it’s on back order but Garmin have been having problems supplying them. All of the Fenix 3’s have been in short supply, but the Sapphire version is harder to get hold of than the proverbial hens teeth – no doubt due to the fact that Apple have a stranglehold on the worlds supply of Sapphire in order to meet the demand for their upcoming watch which also uses Sapphire Glass.
I did manage to get a fairly good deal on it though thanks to a discount voucher and my Quidco Cashback. I’ve ordered it from Cotswold Outdoor where it is available for pre-order at the RRP of £480. I found a 10% voucher which reduced it to £432, and then with 6% cashback from Quidco the final price was £406.08. However, the following day I found a 15% off voucher so I quickly cancelled my order and then reordered again with 15% off… So, £480 became £408 and with the 6% Quidco cashback it was actually £383.52 – a saving of £96.48. Not bad really.
Well, it’s basically a cashback site. You sign up with them, then, whenever you are shopping online you go through Quidco to get to the shops you’d usually shop at and by doing so you get cashback on any money you spend. The amount of cashback varies from store to store, but it soon mounts up. They pay out every week so the money you earn doesn’t sit there but comes straight to you and we’ve already earnt over £250 in cashback from them. It won’t make you rich or save you huge amounts of money, but that’s £250 we wouldn’t have had otherwise. £250 we can spend on something nice.
You can get cashback when spending money in store as well, so it isn’t just about Internet shopping. You just register your credit card with Quidco and any time you use it in a store that offers cashback it’ll be credited to your account. Quidco also have browser extensions that you can install which make it easy to remember to use them. With the extension installed you’ll get a little pop-up every time you visit a qualifying website. You then simply click through to them from Quidco and any money you spend earns you cashback.
It’s all quite straight forward – so much so that I’ve even managed to teach my Mother how to do it! So, what have you got to lose? Sign up now and save yourself some money – Whats more, if you use this link I earn a little more for referring you and you get an extra bonus too: http://www.quidco.com/user/3031942/2013424/
