Ynyslas in Colour: An Unexpected Double Rainbow
I quite often walk across to the beach to see what’s happening. It’s not far, only takes a few minutes, and there’s always something different to see.
On Sunday, as I started to head over, I caught the glint of a rainbow in the sky. It wasn’t fully formed, but its bright colours lit up an otherwise dull day, so I snapped a quick photo.
Start of a Rainbow
By the time I reached the pebbles at the top of the beach, the other end of the rainbow had become visible, shaping up to be a double rainbow.
There wasn’t much happening at the beach. Some small surf looked tempting, but the tide was already up, breaking on the pebbles, and it was only going to get higher. So, I decided to head home, ready to jump on the turbo trainer.
As I left the beach, the rainbow was now fully formed and getting brighter.
Double Rainbow
I started to feel a few raindrops, but the low sun was still shining through the clouds to the east, making the rainbow intensify.
By the time I got home, it was dominating the sky. People were running across the golf course, cameras in hand, eager to capture the moment.
Fully Formed Double Rainbow at Ynyslas
It was one of those unexpected moments where nature puts on a show, reminding me why I love living near the coast. A simple walk turned into a spectacular sight, proving that even on the greyest days, something beautiful can appear out of nowhere.
Amazing
Really lovely! Rare to see such a good one
