Moth-Trapping in Portland

Seeing as I’m a little obsessed with moth trapping at the moment I thought I’d share this from BBC Autumnwatch. They were moth-trapping in Portland, a place I know really well as I spent 5 years of my life studying its geology for a PhD. (Which I never quite finished). I did get pretty intimate with the rocks and fossils of Portland whilst I was there, but never did any intentional moth trapping.

The BBC clip tends to focus on immigrants that cross the English Channel and make their way to Portland, but the first moth mentioned, Angle Shades, was found in our trap here in Wales last night.
