Hi Alex,
Yes, they have. They are still there and working well. One of them did come off once to start with so I reattached it with the help of some Superglue but otherwise they have been OK.

Have the cargo net fixings lasted over time. I have just picked up a knysna ski and want to fix one to the back as well so I can stick a dry bag on the back.

Yep, as I said in the blog post, I ended up plumping for the SUP carry sling which works well for my walk across to the beach. That's what I'm still using so it has stood the test of time too.

There is a VERY easy way to carry Knysna skis and its probably a lot better than the side handles on most other makes for longer distances.

Lift the ski onto tour LEFT shoulder, placing your shoulder in the bucket, then transfer your LEFT hand to the grab handle at the front of the foot-well.

It will balance perfectly, leaving your right hand free to carry the paddle.

If its particularly windy you may need to grab a footrest or something with the other hand which makes it a bit more awkward but any ski is a PITA to carry in wind.

An alternative for any ski is to use an 'SUP carry sling' which loops around the ski with a shoulder strap which can be adjusted to whatever length is comfortable. Great for longer carries.
