Easter was upon us and for us that means Easter Egg hunts and chocolate. Morgan didn’t get up too early, but when he did, the Easter Bunny had been and had left a trail of clues for him. It\u00a0was nice that for the first year he\u00a0was able to read them completely by himself and soon set off around the house and garden in search of little chocolate treats and the next clue. Morgan always enjoys his little Easter Egg trail and today was no exception.<\/p>\n

Here are a few of the clues:<\/p>\n

“As it is Easter and the start of your trail, the first clue is easy – where the postman posts the mail”<\/p>\n

“I have four legs but cannot walk,\u00a0you sit at me when using your knife and fork!”<\/p>\n

“Searching for eggs and not for frogs,\u00a0Have a look near the pile of logs.”<\/p>\n

“Look outside, search a lot,\u00a0<\/em>Somewhere near a flower pot”<\/p>\n

\nAs well as the treats on the trail, there were of course also plenty of eggs and chocolate from other people on the table. So much for me lossing some weight! Although, I was good and did go for a 9am swim in Machynlleth pool once we had finished the Easter Egg Trail.<\/p>\n

The weather wasn’t great for the rest of the day, it was cold, grey and dreary but I forced myself out for a little bike ride whilst Anna and Morgan stayed at home with the fire on. It was pretty cold on the bike despite wearing my winter clothes – such a change to the shorts and summer clothes I was wearing juts over a week ago – We’ve had a taste of all 4 seasons in past week<\/a> or so.<\/p>\n

\"Easter<\/a>

Easter Dinner<\/p><\/div>After my ride I warmed up on the sofa in front of the fire whilst Anna cooked a delicious Easter Sunday Roast Beef dinner for us. Roast dinner is actually one of Morgan’s favourite dinners, so it’s\u00a0always\u00a0nice to sit down together and eat without having to moan at him to keep eating. He’s a fussy eater the rest of the time so we usually end up sitting there waiting for him to finish, but despite all of the chocolate during the day, this isn’t the case with a roast.<\/p>\n

On the Dunes<\/p><\/div>I then suggested we go for a walk on the beach so we wrapped up warm with coats, hats and gloves and wandered across to the dunes and had a lovely family walk down along the beach to the boardwalk and then back through the dunes to the caravan site and back home. It was still pretty grey and dreary out there with a cold wind but the fresh air was good for everyone. Just as we got back in and sat down in front of the fire which was still going well, it started raining outside – perfect timing.<\/p>\n
