{"id":9291,"date":"2011-12-05T09:50:32","date_gmt":"2011-12-05T09:50:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/?p=9291"},"modified":"2011-12-05T09:50:32","modified_gmt":"2011-12-05T09:50:32","slug":"museum-in-the-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/2011\/12\/museum-in-the-park\/","title":{"rendered":"Museum in the Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With Christmas fast approaching and the number of weekends left available for the family get together dwindling, we had a relatively early family weekend this year.<\/p>\n<p>Anna, Morgan and I drove to my parents house on Friday straight after work and school. We don&#8217;t go to the city very often so we took the opportunity to pop into Ikea in Bristol before arriving at my parents house. Morgan always looks forward to seeing Ninny and Grandad and his cousins so it&#8217;s always a nice trip.<\/p>\n<p>The family gathering was on the Sunday giving us Saturday free to do whatever we wanted so we all (Me, Anna, Morgan and my Mum and Dad) had a day out in Stroud. We went to the Museum in the Park, had lunch in a &#8216;Brewers Fayre&#8217; Pub and then wandered around the park. Considering the fact that the weather was supposed to be horrible we were pretty lucky and stayed dry all day. The Museum was good, entry was free, there was plenty to see and do for everyone and we also made a Christmas Wreath from Holly, Ivy, Yew, Cedar and some pine cones. We also popped into B&amp;Q for a new bathroom light and yet more Xmas lights.
