I don’t have much work on at the moment, which means I don’t have any money. If you need a web designer<\/a> then feel free to hire me, I’m quite happy to do computer tuition<\/a> in the area too and I’m pretty good at turning my hand to gardening or painting as well.<\/p>\n

Anyway, this isn’t supposed to be an advert as having no work and no money does have its advantages. First of all, the house is nice and clean and tidy and the garden is well kept. I have to keep myself busy somehow. Secondly I get to make the most of my surroundings and managed to spend a day in the sea yesterday.<\/p>\n

Todays Swim Route<\/p><\/div>\n

I did do a little bit of work in the morning and made a few phone calls, but then the sea was calling me so I donned my wetsuit and went for a lovely swim in the estuary. It was grey, wet and windy out there and there wasn’t a soul on the beach so I had the whole place to myself. I started in the little channel close to the beach and swam out towards the seaward end of the sandbank where I turned right and headed out across the channel to a buoy. I again turned right, back across the channel and up-river to the next buoy and then on to a further\u00a0third buoy where I once again turned right and headed back into the little channel. I then swam all the way along the channel and repeated the loop again.<\/p>\n

My navigating was pretty good as I virtually retraced my route exactly on the second time around. The tide was coming in so the short stretch up-river was actually the quickest but overall I averaged my usual speed of 2.3mph and covered a distance of 1.44 miles in 37mins 43 seconds. It was pretty choppy out in the channel thanks to the wind so it\u00a0was proper open water swimming, battling against tide and chop and entering into my own little zone. Despite the effort it’s actually very relaxing.<\/p>\n

After a quick shower it was off to the seafront here at Ynyslas for a windsurf session. Shem joined me and had a quick 30 minute kitesurf session whilst I was out windsurfing on my big wave board and 5m sail. I was a little under-powered to start with but the wind picked up and things improved so the second hour was better than the first. Tom came out for a windsurf too and got washed around by the waves, and Derek and another kitesurfer were also out.<\/p>\n

As the wind picked up and the conditions improved for me I managed to launch into some massive jumps, and the sailing out the back was brilliant with some pretty big waves out there.<\/p>\n
