{"id":6074,"date":"2010-10-06T10:05:24","date_gmt":"2010-10-06T09:05:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/?p=6074"},"modified":"2010-10-04T10:13:13","modified_gmt":"2010-10-04T09:13:13","slug":"bristol-bikefest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/2010\/10\/bristol-bikefest\/","title":{"rendered":"Bristol BikeFest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I thought my &#8216;racing season&#8217; was over for the year but I&#8217;ve been talked into one final event on October 16th in Ashton Court, Bristol.<\/p>\n<p>The <a title=\"OktoberFest\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bike-fest.com\/oktoberfest\/\">OktoberFest<\/a>, part of the Bristol Bikefest series of races consists of several races, you can pick from one of two 4 hours events or the 8 hour event. I&#8217;ve been signed up for one of the shorter, 4 hour events. The course is a 5.5 mile lap and the idea is to see how many laps you can complete in the\u00a0allotted\u00a0time.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not expecting any great number of laps myself, but it should be fun and 4 hours in the saddle is plenty &#8211; Especially considering what the weather can be like at this time of year.
