The average seems to be around about 60-80 moths at the moment from approximately 25 species.<\/p>\n<p>Last night looked like a good night so I put the trap out again and this time did turn up a few new species for the garden list. Total catch was:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3x <em>Oligia sp<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>2x Green Carpet<\/li>\n<li>10x Flame Shoulder<\/li>\n<li>2x Treble Lines<\/li>\n<li>4x Shoulder-striped Wainscot<\/li>\n<li>3x Common Marbled Carpet<\/li>\n<li>13x Heart and Dart<\/li>\n<li>5x Dark Arches<\/li>\n<li>1x Clouded-bordered Brindle<\/li>\n<li>2x Large Yellow Underwing<\/li>\n<li>4x Dusky Brocade<\/li>\n<li>1x Small Magpie<\/li>\n<li>1x Flame<\/li>\n<li>1x Shark<\/li>\n<li>1x Setaceous Hebrew Character<\/li>\n<li>5x Small Square Spot<\/li>\n<li>1x Middle-barred Minor<\/li>\n<li>1x Brown Rustic<\/li>\n<li>1x Buff Tip<\/li>\n<li>1x Silver Y<\/li>\n<li>1x Clouded Silver<\/li>\n<li>1x Heart and Club*<\/li>\n<li>1x Riband Wave*<\/li>\n<li>1x Wormwood Pug<\/li>\n<li>1x Grey Pug<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>According to the &#8216;Moths of Ceredigion; by Adrian Fowles &#8211; which is admittedly a little out of date now, the Heart and Club isn&#8217;t that common in this area:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Rare in Ceredigion with just eight specimens recorded since the Heart and Club was first taken, at Llanbadarn, in 1937.
