{"id":4914,"date":"2010-06-11T12:20:38","date_gmt":"2010-06-11T11:20:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/?p=4914"},"modified":"2010-06-11T12:40:56","modified_gmt":"2010-06-11T11:40:56","slug":"more-from-the-moth-trap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/2010\/06\/more-from-the-moth-trap\/","title":{"rendered":"More from the Moth Trap"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I moved the moth trap away from the Lilac last night and had a much more manageable catch which didn&#8217;t take long to go through:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2x White Ermine<\/li>\n<li>1x Eyed Hawkmoth<\/li>\n<li>1x <em>Oligia sp.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>2x Common Marbled Carpet<\/li>\n<li>2x Broom Moth<\/li>\n<li>3x Heart and Dart<\/li>\n<li>12x Flame Shoulder<\/li>\n<li>3x Setaceous Hebrew Character<\/li>\n<li>10x Small Square-spot<\/li>\n<li>2x Small Magpie<\/li>\n<li>1x Cinnabar<\/li>\n<li>2x Shoulder-striped Wainscot<\/li>\n<li>1x Brown Rustic<\/li>\n<li>1x Treble Lines<\/li>\n<li>1x Shore Wainscot*<\/li>\n<li>1x Dark Arches*<\/li>\n<li>2x Common Pug<\/li>\n<li>1x Shaded Pug<\/li>\n<li>1x Grey Pug*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It looks as though it could be a good weekend for the moths so I may well move the trap back to the lilac and be prepared for a huge catch the next day.<\/p>\n<p>There were only a couple of new species last night, the Dark Arches which is a very common moth and the Shore Wainscot which is only found in coastal areas with dunes so isn&#8217;t so common.
