Morgan has decided to defer his places at university for a while and head off to Canada on a \u2018working holiday\u2019 instead. Morgan had a final dinner with us at Millie\u2019s Diner, a final night in the UK and then we dropped him off at Heathrow. He wandered off on his own with his suitcase and rucksack into the terminal, bound for Canada. I\u2019m sure he\u2019s going to have an amazing adventure!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anna and I then headed to Guildford where I had work to do before heading back to Bristol for another night at my parent&#8217;s house before driving home on Thursday in time for yet more work!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Updates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Updates from Morgan have been fairly vague so far but he\u2019s had a couple of nights in a hostel in Calgary where he\u2019s been sorting out some admin such as an SIN number, a Canadian bank account and a phone SIM etc. He then travelled to Banff where he\u2019s looking for a job. The only photo we\u2019ve had so far is this one from Banff. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Banff.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"867\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Banff.jpg\" alt=\"Morgan has arrived in Banff\" class=\"wp-image-41360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Banff.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Banff-150x200.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Morgan has arrived in Banff<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The weather looks nice, the mountains are pretty and all looks good. It\u2019ll be nice if I can get him to write an update for the blog every now and then &#8211; although I\u2019m sure he\u2019ll be far too busy for that!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quiet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s a little weird for Anna and I. It doesn\u2019t really make that much difference at home as we barely saw him when he was here but it still feels quiet without him. Christmas will certainly be different. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m not quite sure how it happened but we seem to have produced a fully independent adult!! We can I guess be proud parents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Holidays<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We have of course already started planning a trip to visit him. Not until next summer I shouldn\u2019t think, but it\u2019s certainly a good excuse for a trip to Canada, and a road trip from Vancouver to Banff sounds like fun!!
