We weren&#8217;t there for some more Michelin-starred dining though &#8211; we can&#8217;t afford that very often, especially now that Ynyshir is probably the most exclusive restaurant in the UK! Instead, we were there for the Cardiganshire Horticultural Society Plant Fair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The plant fair was on from 2 pm &#8211; 4 pm in the grounds of Ynyshir Hall. The \u00a33 entry fee included tea and cake and allowed us to stroll around the extensive grounds. It was a glorious day for it. I&#8217;d been for a run in the morning and then we&#8217;d chilled at home before making the short 10-minute drive to Ynyshir Hall<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"strava-embed-placeholder\" data-embed-type=\"activity\" data-embed-id=\"9199131587\"><\/div><script src=\"https:\/\/strava-embeds.com\/embed.js\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>We arrived at 2 pm to find the car park pretty much full already. There was a queue to get in and as we joined it at 2:04 pm there were already a couple of people leaving with wheelbarrows or arms full of plants. It looked as though there had been a 2pm scrummage to get the best of the plants!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We missed out on this and by the time we got to the plant stalls there was nothing much that interested us. Instead, we went for a nice stroll through the grounds, had our tea and cake next to the marquee and then had another stroll before heading home. The grounds were nice. Nothing too formal just lots of nice woodland paths and some bog gardens. It&#8217;s a sister restaurant of Ynyshir and uses some of the world\u2019s best ingredients as used by Gareth Ward at Ynyshir Restaurant &amp; Rooms.
