I’ve already posted about our tourist antics aboard the Isle of Man’s Trams and trains<\/a>, which included roast dinners on the train, cream teas at the summit of Snaefell and a walk through Dhoon Glen. That’s not all we did though as we got up to plenty of other things whilst there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I ran a section of the Coast Path from The Sound to Fleshwick<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We spent evenings watching dolphins in Port Erin Bay with views of Bradda Head before us. We wandered along the beach too and had pizza in Byron’s restaurant on the prom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We went for an evening stroll at Scarlet Point, Port St Mary, and visited a local nature reserve and horse watering hole!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We went to Tynwald Mills for some retail therapy and another cream tea!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We spent some time in Niarbyl watching the world go by while clouds draped the cliffs in the background and investigating the Iapetus suture here – you can’t stop us from doing some geology field-tripping now and then!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We went to Peel and had a picnic overlooking the sea in the shadow of the castle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We then had to endure several flight cancellations and delays to get home thanks first to the fog and then ‘operational procedures’. Eventually, we made it back to Liverpool much later than intended so after a long day waiting at the airport we decided a night in a Travelodge was better than a long drive home.<\/p>\n\n\n
