After a nice paddle on the River Ystwyth<\/a> on Friday I had a restful afternoon. Saturday, therefore, required some exercise. I started it with a bit of a slog on the Turbo Trainer. Nothing too crazy, just a gradual ramp up to close to 200W where I sat for 45 minutes or so. It may not be exciting but it’s all good work and I actually felt quite tired by the end of it.<\/p>\n\n\n

Anna was out sorting things out in the Band Room and Morgan had yet to arrive home from a party the previous night. I therefore decided to head out into the glorious sunshine for a walk on the beach. When you’ve got a beach like this on your doorstep it would be rude not too.<\/p>\n\n\n

Around the Beach at Ynyslas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There isn’t much choice of route once you’re on the beach as you can really only head south or north. However, with the tide out there is quite a bit of empty space so I decided to follow the low water around the point. This takes me quite close to Aberdyfi really and over the endless ripples upon ripples in the sand that are formed each time the tide ebbs and flows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were a few people on the beach but once out here on the point I had it to myself. The only company came from gulls, oystercatchers and the occasional crow. I could see people on the beach at Aberdyfi of course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I then walked onto the sands of the estuary, past the Nature Reserve Visitor Centre and into the dunes for the obligatory photo from the top of the boardwalk. The clouds had rolled in a little now. It had ben bitterly cold all the way around too with the temperature at around 2\u00baC but with the wind chill, the feels like temperature was around minus 7\u00baC<\/p>\n\n\n
