The ‘oldies’ (my parents) were here to stay at the weekend. My Dad couldn’t drive so they had an adventure on the trains to get here. We quite like the trains, I don’t think they were that impressed though! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For some reason, while my Dad was here he wanted to go the Aberdyfi to go crabbing. I’m not sure why, but we didn’t want to disappoint so that’s what we did on Sunday. After a picnic on the seafront we went crabbing, then had a stroll along the prom before heading back home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Actually, they got to see plenty of wildlife while they were here. We headed to the Dyfi Osprey Project for lunch on Saturday. We did of course stroll down to the viewing deck where we could see the osprey chicks tucking into a freshly caught mullet. There were loads of tiny froglets on the boardwalk too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were rabbits aplenty in our garden at home, along of course with the bees and birds. I took a walk to the beach on Monday morning and there was a pod of dolphin being quite active in shallow water. By the time I went home to get my Dad to see them they had disappeared though. There were still plenty of seabirds to see but the dolphins had obviously moved on. There was a large grass snake seen crossing the road and coming into our garden too. It was a pretty big one and in perfect condition too. Quite feisty as well when we all went out to take a look.<\/p>\n\n\n

I’ve just dropped my parents off at the station for their train trip back home. Let’s hope it all goes to plan before the strikes tomorrow! Anna did try to get a photo of three generations together seeing as it was Father’s Day – I think we all posed perfectly for a nice sensible photo!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
