Michelin starred delights at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/2019\/08\/fine-dining-at-ynyshir-hall\/\">Ynyshir Hall<\/a>, a romantic weekend at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/2021\/10\/pale-hall-hotel\/\">Pal\u00e9 Hall<\/a> and a family meet up at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/2021\/12\/st-fagans-and-the-great-house\/\">The Great House in Bridgend<\/a>. We&#8217;ve decided I need some support from Anna to continue with my Coast Path Run so thought it would be a good idea to make a weekend of and combine my run with a night at another fine dining establishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trefloyne Manor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There were a number of places to choose from in the Tenby area but we plumped for <a href=\"https:\/\/trefloyne.com\/\">Trefloyne Manor<\/a>. We didn&#8217;t want anywhere too expensive but we also wanted somewhere a little nicer than your average. It looked perfect, and indeed it was. Booking was easy, as was reserving a table for dinner. They were therefore expecting us when we arrived. I&#8217;d been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/2022\/01\/wales-coast-path-run-tenby-to-manorbier\/\">running along the coast path<\/a> all day so was looking forward to chilling before dinner. We received a warm welcome and were shown to our room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Trefloyne-Manor.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"950\" height=\"713\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Trefloyne-Manor.jpg\" alt=\"Trefloyne Manor\" class=\"wp-image-37163\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Trefloyne-Manor.jpg 950w, https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Trefloyne-Manor-200x150.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 950px) 100vw, 950px\" \/><\/a><figcaption>Trefloyne Manor<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The staff seemed lovely and the room was plenty large enough and very comfortable. Time for a soak in the bath and a little snooze before diner. I think a hot bath was a mistake. It&#8217;s the first I&#8217;ve had since my heart attack and it didn&#8217;t do me much good! Warmish showers for me from now on I think! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hotel is part of a golf course so is set in extensive grounds. We didn&#8217;t pick a room with a view but we could still see a little of the golf course from where we were.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dinner<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dinner was delicious too. We had a drink in the bar and were then shown to our table. The service was excellent and the food was just right. The menu was fairly varied. Anna had a really nice soup to start, whereas I had a mushroom risotto. We then both had the duck for our main course. The duck bon bon in panko breadcrumbs was especially nice. I had sticky toffee pudding for dessert whereas Anna had cheesecake. It was therefore off to bed for a comfortable nights sleep before a decent breakfast and then off to the coast path again. We&#8217;ll be down this way again soon hopefully so we may even return for another night.
