I had a busy day today but did manage to finish work on time. I therefore headed out for a nice walk along the beach and ended up pushing the limits of the land. The weather was grey, misty and damp and my walk happened to coincide with low tide. It was a fairly big tide too. Coupled with relatively high atmospheric pressures that meant the tide was a long way out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I couldn’t resist pushing the limits of the land on my walk. It was surprising just how far out to sea I could get without getting wet feet. I ended up walking in places that I would usually only swim, windsurf or surf ski. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tide was actually coming in so I had to keep my wits about me so as not to get cut off. I also had to be careful in places to avoid any quicksand. I didn’t fancy getting stuck whilst in a location that would soon be several metres under the sea! It was nice to walk somewhere a little different on my beach stroll during lockdown. Getting a slightly different persepctive added to what has become a fairly mundane walk for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I probably should have kept my eyes open and on the ground. I was covering ground not often seen so you never know what I might find. There are two of my wedding rings out there for a start. Not to mention a few windsurf rigs that I’ve lost at sea over the years. I’m sure they are long gone, but finding my wedding ring after all these years would make a good story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ll have to see if I can convince Morgan to come with me for an action replay. The tide is a little bigger tomorrow so we should be able to walk a similar distance out to sea.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
