With the weather set to change tomorrow I thought it would be a shame not to make the most of the sunshine today with a paddle along the coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It wasn\u2019t quite as hot as it has been with temperatures around 19\u00baC but the sun was shining there was a light breeze and everything looked good. I set off from Ynyslas and headed South into Borth and then out along the coast under the high cliffs. Past Aberwennol and then on to Sarn Cynfelyn off Wallog. The sea was crystal clear here as I glided over the rocky seabed while cormorants sunbathed on the rocks. There were some people fishing off the gravel of Sarn Cynfelyn and a couple of fishing boats out too. I passed over the top of the it and headed on towards Clarach. There was a seal perched on a submerged rock not far from the shore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’d been keeping an eye on the wind all the time as it was likely that a sea breeze would start to pcik up. These are usually NW and would make it a bit of a slog to get home from here but so far the wind was only easing off if anything.\u00a0 I turned around, paddled back over the top of Sarn Cynfelyn and then heading into the sandy section of the beach at Wallog where I stopped for a banana and a flapjack and to take some photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I didn’t stop for long and was soon heading back the way I’d came. I popped into Borth as I went past and chilled behind the reef for a few minutes before carrying on towards Ynyslas. Things were a little choppier now so I headed out further so that I could hit the chop at a better angle, and so that when I turned for shore at Ynyslas I would have a nice little ride back to the beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back at the beach with almost 11 miles of paddling done and despite taking it super easy it had taken less than 2 hours. Perfect!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
