Rather than the usual day in the office and labs at the University it was off to Builth Wells for a schools outreach day at the OVO Energy Women&#8217;s Tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It did mean that Marco and I had an early start and a drive through Wales to get there. We then set up our stall, set up the Watt Bike that we&#8217;d be using to let the kids have a go at a 6 second sprint test and then waited for the fun to begin. We did have chance to wander over to the shop for a snack and to take a look at the &#8216;historic bikes&#8217; stand before the first of the school groups arrived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Chopper.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"667\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Chopper.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-30108\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Chopper.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Chopper-150x200.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><figcaption>Chopper<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The kids seemed to enjoy competing with each other to see who could get the highest peak power readings.
