And we’re off – After Day 1\u00a0of our 2016 Scout Camp to PGL Boreaton Park<\/a>, Day 2 started as usual with a huge breakfast and the usual trauma of making sure everyone had everything they needed for the days activities.<\/p>\n

Canoeing<\/h2>\n

As the first of these activities was canoeing everyone had to be organised with\u00a0clothes to wear in the canoe and dry clothes to put on afterwards. For some reason this concept is just too much for Scouts and it takes forever to get everyone ready to go!<\/p>\n

We then headed off to the river that runs through the bottom of Boreaton Park where we had some canoe instruction and then jumped into our canoe for a spot of river paddling. Everyone soon had the hang of it so we played some games and had a relaxing morning on the river as a whole group. It was then back to the canteen for lunch, a visit to the shop and then back into our Groups for the afternoon’s activities.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
