If you hadn&#8217;t noticed my &#8216;project&#8217; lately has been geocaching. Every chance I get I&#8217;m either looking up caches on <a target=\"_blank\" title=\"Geocaching\" href=\"http:\/\/www.geocaching.com\">geocaching.com<\/a> or out there in the hills searching for little plastic boxes or chasing that FTF (First to Find)!<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Boxes\" class=\"imagelink\" href=\"https:\/\/alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/01\/p1010255.JPG\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Boxes\" id=\"image208\" src=\"https:\/\/alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/01\/p1010255.thumbnail.JPG\" \/><\/a>It gives me an excuse to get some new toys, new walking boots, maybe a new coat, even a an <a target=\"_blank\" title=\"iPod\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/product\/B000HZBQ42?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=alslikklworls&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1634&#038;creative=6738&#038;creativeASIN=B000HZBQ42\">iPod<\/a> that I can use for paperless caching and a headtorch just in case I feel like making the most of a sleepness night. I have so far resisted the temptation of a nice new all singing all dancing GPS receiver, preferring instead to stick with my simple <a target=\"_blank\" title=\"eTrex GPS\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/product\/B00003WGP5?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=alslikklworls&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1634&#038;creative=6738&#038;creativeASIN=B00003WGP5\">Yellow Etrex.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Boxes at the ready\" class=\"imagelink\" href=\"https:\/\/alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/01\/p1010253.JPG\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Boxes at the ready\" id=\"image207\" src=\"https:\/\/alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/01\/p1010253.thumbnail.JPG\" \/><\/a>Of course, this being the middle of nowhere, the density of caches in the area was a little thin. That is all changing, Red kite (another local new geocacher) has been busy hiding caches and I&#8217;ve hidden a few too.  We both have more planned, and I even have the boxes at the ready. The Aberystwyth area could soon become a geocaching hot spot.<\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Grab your GPS receivers, put on your waterproof kit and get out there in the hills&#8230;.
