I tried this last week and\u00a0couldn&#8217;t quite decide if I was having a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/2015\/slow-recovery-or-just-plain-lazy\/\">slow recovery from illness or was just being lazy<\/a>. I\u00a0didn&#8217;t manage to finish the whole of the \u00a0workout last week. I cut out the last round of spin ups and then\u00a0didn&#8217;t bother going for the\u00a0scheduled run afterwards either &#8211; and that was after putting it off for a day in the first place!<\/p>\n<p>Well, it&#8217;s a new week this week and my 2nd chance at the TrainerRoad workout Goddard was on the cards. I\u00a0wouldn&#8217;t say I was quite 100% still,\u00a0I&#8217;ve been having a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/2015\/grumpy-old-man\/\">few issues with my recovery from a cold<\/a> and although I feel OK most of the time, I&#8217;m still probably a little under the weather. The good news is that I managed to finish to whole of the workout today and I felt OK too. It was of course tough at time, but that&#8217;s the whole point.<\/p>\n<h2>TrainerRoad workout Goddard<\/h2>\n<div id=\"attachment_20762\" style=\"width: 760px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Goddard-1.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-20762\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-20762\" class=\"wp-image-20762 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Goddard-1-750x448.jpg\" alt=\"TrainerRoad workout Goddard\" width=\"750\" height=\"448\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Goddard-1-750x448.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Goddard-1-200x120.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Goddard-1-768x459.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Goddard-1.jpg 950w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-20762\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">TrainerRoad workout Goddard<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It&#8217;s quite a nice workout really with a steady warm up, some isolated leg spins, a whole load of increasingly difficult form sprints, some more isolated leg spins and then two rounds of fast spin ups at\u00a0a fairly decent percentage of FTP. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trainerroad.com\">TrainerRoad<\/a> have got some new triathlon\u00a0training plans out now as well, so I may have to take a look through them to see if any of them are any use to me. As well as the usual cycling sessions in their plans, these triathlon plans also have recommendations for swimming and running sessions as well.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m also now feeling quite motivated to get out for a run as well, but have to wait in for the delivery of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/2015\/pre-christmas-white-goods\/\">new fridge<\/a>.
