The whole of the country and West Wales in particular has taken quite a battering from first Storm Abigail and then Storm Barney. My <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/2015\/wet-and-wild-riding\/\">bike ride on Sunday<\/a>\u00a0morning\u00a0was notable due to it&#8217;s wet and wild nature and then we had a proper storm on Tuesday night with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forces-of-nature.co.uk\/dbdriven\/home\/weather_station.php\">Borth weather station<\/a> recording maximum gusts of 63.7 knots and some fairly sustained wind speeds too, with a new record 10 minute average of 59.2 knots.<\/p>\n<h2>Autumnal Weather Wind Data<\/h2>\n<div id=\"attachment_20457\" style=\"width: 694px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Wind-Data.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-20457\" class=\"wp-image-20457 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Wind-Data.jpg\" alt=\"Autumnal Weather\" width=\"684\" height=\"818\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Wind-Data.jpg 684w, https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Wind-Data-167x200.jpg 167w, https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Wind-Data-401x480.jpg 401w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 684px) 100vw, 684px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-20457\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Autumnal Weather<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Pretty windy by anyone&#8217;s standards!<\/p>\n<p>Last night wasn&#8217;t exactly calm either with gusts up to 53.1 knots as well. Just about windy\u00a0enough to call for subtitles on the TV as we are unable to hear it over the howling of the wind outside. I&#8217;m glad I went out and strapped down the beehives before the main onslaught though.\u00a0It&#8217;s a little calmer out there now, but it looks as though we are due some more autumnal weather on Friday night and then some more again next Tuesday &#8211; Well, what would you expect other than autumnal weather? &#8211; It is autumn afterall.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a slightly extended summer that seemed to last until November, we been having some\u00a0decidedly autumnal weather over the past few days.
