I had an idea in bed last night to try to build up some rocks at the back of the tank around the edges of the lighter coloured stream. I wanted to create the effect of a mountain stream emerging from a gorge, something we get a ,ot of around here in West Wales. In fact, the rocks I&#8217;m using were collected from just such a stream.<\/p>\n<p>I therefore added a few more rocks this morning and came up with this.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_18347\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Gorge1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-18347\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-18347\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Gorge1-550x278.jpg\" alt=\"Gorge\" width=\"550\" height=\"278\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Gorge1-550x278.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Gorge1-120x61.jpg 120w, https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Gorge1.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-18347\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Gorge<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A bit of an improvement on yesterday attempts as I also added a few more pebbles around the edges of the stream in order to give it a more defined path and improve the curve a little. I&#8217;ve been playing with it again this afternoon though and have added a few more stones and have graded the gravel and pebbles within the stream to create more of a perspective effect. I think its getting there now.
