Usually geocaches take us to cool and interesting places that we\u00a0wouldn&#8217;t otherwise go, but this time it was a little different. We were already somewhere that we wouldn&#8217;t necessarily be and there just so happened to be a geocache nearby that we could find.<\/p>\n<p>The first was in Shrewsbury. We had arrived in Shrewsbury a couple of hours before the wedding lunch that we were having at Romolo&#8217;s on the riverfront. We&#8217;d been into town to do some shopping that we needed to do and then wandered down along the river to see where the restaurant was and then have a stroll in the park.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_16091\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/River.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-16091\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-16091\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/River-550x412.jpg\" alt=\"A Stroll along the River\" width=\"550\" height=\"412\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/River-550x412.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/River-120x90.jpg 120w, https:\/\/www.alananna.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/River.jpg 850w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-16091\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A Stroll along the River<\/p><\/div>\n<p>We found the restaurant without any trouble and as we were stood outside with a few minutes to kill I decided to check to see if there were any caches nearby. Sure enough, there was one and it was only 14 feet away. We had a quick glance around, spotted where it would be and within seconds had the cache in our hands and the log book signed. Now that&#8217;s about as easy as it gets when it comes to geocaching.<\/p>\n<p>The next was in Dorrington. We were staying at the Dorrington Horsehoe&#8217;s overnight so parked there, checked in and then took a stroll towards the village hall for the evening reception. Once again there was a geocache en route so we stopped at it, found it within seconds and logged another cache. The logbook was full on this one though, not that we had a pencil with us anyway, so we took a quick photo of the cache container instead. Hopefully that will be enough to prove to the cache owner that we\u00a0found it.
