We have a night hike planned for the Scouts soon so thought we had better recce the route that I had in mind sometime soon. Sunday afternoon looked like the best time to do it as we would have a couple of hours free.<\/p>\n

I did my usual early morning run and then swim followed by a bacon sandwich and coffee in Machynlleth and then we had a quick lunch at home before setting off. I loaded a few geocaches into my iPhone as well as we would be passing a few that we missed last time we went for a walk in this area<\/a>. We then drove into Tre Ddol, parked by the church and set off into the hills.<\/p>\n

The walk started with a nice steep climb up along a bridle way into Cwm Clettwr Nature Reserve. The nature reserve has seen some work on it recently and has some newly marked walks. We followed the bridal way though with a few stops for geocaches.<\/p>\n

The geocaches were all caches in ‘The \u00a0Chocolate Trail’ and we did numbers 1-5 , in the correct order. All were easy to find and in good condition. The names of the caches were:<\/p>\n
