Garden Recovery

After a 21 mile paddle in the morning it was time for some recovery in the form of gardening.

The garden itself is in recovery mode as well having been battered by the winds of Storm Hannah. The trees took the brunt of it with all of their fresh spring growth ripped from their branches and badly windburnt.

Typically the weeds felt no such ill effects so today’s task were weeding and tidying up the edges of the borders.

As always there’s loads to do but at least some things are looking fairly tidy now.

The camper is tidy too as I spent a couple of hours yesterday washing and polishing it. This was followed by a similar amount of time clearing everything out from inside it today. Everything has now been vacuumed, cleaned and repacked ready to go. There were still plenty of chores to do both in the garden and the house, but Morgan had baked brownies and it was time for dinner. I was going to go for a run but my knee was sore so I decided against it and instead slobbed on the sofa for the evening.
