New Scimitar Race Kit

I took delivery of my new race kit for team Scimitar Endurance the other day. It looks really good, (even with me in it) and the quality is top notch too – its the same stuff that the TORQ team use. The chamois pads in the bibs tights look really comfortable and well sculpted – only time and a long day in the saddle will prove if this is the case though. I have just such a day or two planned for this weekend!

The Tri-suit looks just the ticket with a lower density, non-absorbent pad and a rear zip. It is a little tight around the arms though so I may see if I can get this adjusted. The short-sleeved and long sleeved jerseys are well fitted and feel nice to the touch. They have the usual 3 rear pockets and a zippered pocket too. The colours are great. I’ve also got a sexy set of leg warmers and arm warmers for events and training later in the year.

What with the colour-coordinated socks and shoes I’ve bought recently, my green helmet and my black and green cyclo-cross bike I should look just the part. Lets hope my legs and race-craft can do it all justice!

For off the bike before and after a race there’s a toastie black Scimitar branded fleece and a generous black jacket too. Both should be perfect to chuck on and keep the weather at bay after a wet, muddy cyclo-cross race in the autumn.

Look out for our team colours at upcoming races. I’ll be sporting the new Scimitar Endurance kit at Quadrathlons, Triathlons, MTB Events, cyclo-cross races, surf ski races, gravel bike events and multi-sport mountain challenges throughout the year.
