Putting the Surf in Surf Ski

After some epic surf conditions on Sunday, things eased off on Monday. I had lots of work to do so started early and was busy all morning. I did manage a nice trail run up in the hills instead of having lunch and then had more work to do and a meeting to go to at the University.

There was still some surf by the time I’d finished though and the winds were still light. I collected Morgan in the hope that he’d come out for a surf too. He wimped out so I headed off to the beach with my surfski on my own. The waves were a little smaller than I’d hoped but still plenty big enough to play on. It may not have been the workout I was hoping for but playing in the waves is more fun than doing intervals on flat water and the result is similar. The waves themselves force you into an interval session anyway.
