Dyfi Winter Warm Up Pre-Ride
What a lovely day to pre-ride a lap of the Dyfi Winter Warm Up. 25 people turned up for the social ride too and all had a good day out in the hills enjoying the sunshine and the company.
I won’t be doing the Dyfi Winter Warm myself this year but it was still good to ride a lap of it. It was good to be out on two wheels in the Dyfi Forest too as I haven’t been riding there for ages.
Despite the good turnout, we only lost one rider, had a couple of punctures and only one little off that I witnessed. A success all round I think and no doubt we’ll be having more such rides soon. Maybe it’ll become a Bank Holiday tradition. It was nice to catch up with people I hadn;t seen for a while and to meet some new faces too. I’m definitely feeling my age on the descents though – my eyes just don’t seem to be able to focus fast enough. I’m pleased to say that I felt OK on the climbs.
