Sunny Windsurf Session

After my first windsurf session for absolutely ages on Monday, the conditions on Tuesday were even better. Much sunnier and a bit windier too with slightly larger waves as well. It would have been rude not to go out again but with a busy day planned and lots to do I only just managed to squeeze in a session. Lots of work to do, lots of chores to do, a bike session, a run, some stretching and foam rolling, laundry, vacuuming, cleaning, and early morning walk and even mowing the lawn were all completed by 3pm so I headed over to the beach with just my 5m sail and my Naish Hybrid Freewave.

The conditions were just perfect and I was sailing well. Most of my gybes were perfect, nice smooth, clean arcs that maintained speed an allowed me to come out of them planing. In fact I don’t remember ever being able to gybe that well! My shoulder and ankle were still sore though so there were no heroics and the wave-riding and jumping was kept to a minimum. I also only sailed for about an hour, but with conditions that good I’m glad I did.
