Working in a Tardis

I think I must have been working in a Tardis all these years. My home office never seemed small while I was in it, but now that we’ve emptied it all out ready for a new carpet to be fitted it’s 4m x 3m walls make it feel quite ‘cosy’.

The things is, somehow, moving everything out of it means that every other room in the house is full to bursting with the stuff that came from the office. How in the world did so much stuff come out of one little room?

The kitchen is barely navigable.

The utility room is completely out of bounds thanks to a filing cabinet.

The dining room is full of cupboards, computers and weather station consoles.

The conservatory is stacked high with boxes of books, filing and other essentials.

The hall is an obstacle course of bookshelves.

And even the beach room has some furniture and office supplies in it – as well as the fishtank that has been moved out of the office and taken up residence in the beach room.

It’s going to be quite a job putting it all back in place once the carpet has been fitted!
