Witches Finger Biscuits – Getting Ready For Halloween

After work on Friday we popped into the Supermarket and bought 21 pumpkins! Yep, we had a few funny looks wandering around with a trolley full of nothing but pumpkins, but we had good reason – It was a pumpkin each for the Scouts so that they could carve their halloween lanterns.

Morgan loves carving pumpkins though and as there were a couple leftover he’s carved his own this weekend as well – maybe a little too early for halloween really, but it’s all good practise for the real thing. He made an Angry Bird pumpkin and a camp-fire pumpkin, the latter we have yet to light.

He also spent Sunday afternoon making some really good shortbread ‘witches fingers biscuits’ with Anna. I meanwhile was making the honey cake ready for Tuesday evening’s ABKA Honey show.

Pretty good aren’t they and really easy to make. Morgan found the idea on a YouTube video, so if you want to make them as well, here’s the clip.

If he carries on like this, it’s going to be a fun Halloween!
