Website Redesign

I hope you’re liking the new look of our Simple Life of Luxury website redesign. I decided it was time for a revamp and an opportunity to make the site more responsive and therefore mobile friendly. I also wanted to make it look a little more modern, bright, cheerful and provide more emphasis on the images and the content. It does mean that you now have to click through to read a full blog post rather than having the entire content of the latest posts on the home page, but hopefully that will encourage people to engage with the site a little more and maybe even post some  more comments.

I’ll be tweaking things a little over the coming weeks but hopefully you like the new look and are finding your way around OK?

Here’s the before and after shots.

Before and After Responsive Website Redesign

Before and After Responsive Website Redesign

It’s not the only site I’ve been doing this to lately as Google has now decided that it’s mobile ranking factors will not only label your site as mobile-friendly, but will also use that to determine if your site should rank higher in the search results. Google said this algorithmic change will have a “significant impact” in the mobile search results.

With that in mind I’ve been revamping a number of clients site and more recently my own websites have been redesigned too. The responsive website redesigns will hopefully keep my sites fresh and ranking well within the search engines.

Thanks Emily… Good to see that comments is still working as well. I did manage to break it all again this morning whilst playing around with a few features, but thankfully I had made a backup!

I’ve added a few more tweaks today – I wonder if anyone notices the changes. I’m liking it myself now though so there shouldn’t be too much to change now.

    Al,
