Lunar Eclipse

Well, you couldn’t get better viewing conditions for the Lunar Eclipse than we had last night. Super clear skies, no wind and a perfect view of the moon as the Earth cast it’s shadow over it. The full ‘supermoon’ was shining brightly out there when we went to bed and t was a little chilly out there at 2:50am when I got up to check out the eclipse, but with such a good view and not wanting Morgan to miss out I got him up for a quick look as well. I then stood there and watched it for half an hour or so before going back to bed. I took a few photos but without any real preparation they were just a few snapshots. Should really have got the telescope out and had a proper look.

I didn’t really manage to get back to sleep, but the moon was still looking good without a shadown on it as it sunk below the dunes this morning.
