Kayaking with the Scouts

We spent a nice evening courtesy of Aber Kayakers messing about on the water with the Scouts on Friday. The hot humid weather with thunderstorms threatening was just perfect and the gravel pits in Cwm Rheidol certainly looked inviting..As usual there was a fair bit of time spent sorting the Scouts out with buoyancy aids, helmets, boats and paddles but once on the water everyone had a really good time. They alway love kayaking and who can blame them.

I couldn’t resist capsizing Anna at the end, much to the delight of the Scouts.

I couldn’t resist going for a little swim afterwards either as the water looked perfect for it and I had my swimming wetsuit with me. I was going to ride home as well, but by the time we were finished and packed up it was getting a little late, rain was threatening and it was beginning to get dark too.

Looks like they all had fun and I’m sure Anna loved being capsized just to amuse the scouts and no doubt her son and husband also
