Foraging for Muffins

[dropcap]R[/dropcap]ather than send Morgan to Holiday Club for the summer Anna and I are taking various days off work so that we can be at home with him as much as possible. Some of these are days off work at the University, others for me are days off Website Design work. Tuesday was the latter and Morgan wanted to go foraging.

I did get a bit of work done first thing and then we headed off to Pendam where the weather was a little chilly, very breezy and quite grey.

We were prepared for that though and had come armed with thermals, coats and pots so that we could collect blueberries. As usual there were plenty to be had. We also had our bikes with us so had a little spin around the lake and checked in on a geocache at the same time. We soon had very purple fingers and a nice little haul of bilberries so headed home to turn them into muffins. Fresh from the bush and straight into delicious blueberry muffins in no time at all. It was probably less than an hour from growing on the bush to being eaten in a muffin.
