A Day out at Glansevern Gardens

Anna and I were unable to have our usual wedding anniversary day out last week as I was cycling from Bangor to Aberystwyth and then we had a Scout Camp to run. We made up for it on Friday though, just a week late by both taking a day off work and heading out towards Welshpool for a visit to Glansevern Gardens.

We dropped Morgan off at school, popped to the doctors to get the results of my foot X-Ray – only to find that two weeks after having the X-Ray taken that the doctors still didn’t have it so they couldn’t actually tell me anything from it. Having wasted our time there we drove out towards to Welshpool and Glansevern Gardens.

It was a lovely day with the sun shining and the temperatures soaring, so we had a nice stroll around the gardens and the shaded walks around the lake, then had lunch in the cafe, followed by meringues for pudding before driving back with a stop in Llanidloes for an ice cream and then off to collect Morgan from school. A perfect day for it and a nice day out together.

Thanks Emily… It was a nice garden and I’m not sure why we’d never been to it before. Just one we had overlooked I think, but I’m sure we’ll be back at some point.
