Beekeeping Assessment Presentation

We went to the Aberystwyth Beekeepers Association Christmas Social on Tuesday evening. Held in Waunfawr Community Hall it was an ‘American Supper’ where everyone brings along a plate or two of food, a Christmas decoration for the tables and eat, drink and chat together. There was loads of food to go around and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. There was a good turnout too with around 30 members of the Association there.

It was also a good opportunity to present those who had recently passed various beekeeping exams with their certificates. Anna and I received our certificates for our Basic Beekeeping Assessment, along with a whole host of other Members and Morgan was presented with his certificate for his Junior Beekeeping Assessment. We also learned that he was one of only two children in Wales to have completed the Junior Beekeeping Assessment. The whole Association seems really proud of him so presented him with a signed copy of a Roger Patterson Beekeeping Book too.

After a few more bits of cake, another cup of tea and more chatting it was time to head home and get to work on the next edition of the ABKA Newsletter.
