Beach Photo Walk

Morgan and I have just got back from a nice little photo walk along the beach. Nothing too exciting, just a little stroll to see how it was looking today. I’ll save the better photos for another post, but as per usual it was fairly breezy over there which just helped to highlight how much Morgan could do with a haircut. Although we all quite like the windswept look really.

The beach was fairly quiet so Morgan clambered around on the dunes and posed for a few photos before we inspected the Car Park Lake which is now deeper and more expansive than before. Unfortunately it is also surrounded by a considerable amount of flotsam and jetsam.

We played around on a few more groynes and took quite a few photos, although I can’t quite decide which I like best out of these, the colour one or the black and white one. They are different photos anyway, but I like them both. Which do you prefer?

We then went to inspect the exposed fossil forest. We didn’t walk too far down the beach towards Borth where the fossil forest is now showing quite prominently with some really well defined stumps and roots, instead we took a look at the closest section to our house where there are beds of submerged forest floor with fragments of wood and the ocassional stump. Morgan was quite interested in it, but it’s nothing new to him so he was soon creating ephemeral beach art in the sand instead.

Borth was looking good through the sea haze as the late afternoon winter sun shone on it though.

I took a few more photos of the scenery, some of which were quite nice so I’ll post those later in the week, but by now we were both getting fed up by the fact that Morgan had to stop every 100 yards or so to retrieve his sock from the bottom of his welly! Quite why it wouldn’t stay on his foot I don’t know, but sometimes wellies and socks just do that. So it was time to head back home and warm up.
