Geocaching and Ice Creams

Saturday was another glorious day on the Isle of Man. Still cold but sunny and the wind had finally eased a little. I started the days activities with a bike ride around the TT course whilst Anna and Morgan went to visit James and Donna. It’s a shame I didn’t get to catch up with them, but it’s just not possible to fit everything in.

We met back up at the National Sports Centre where we went for a swim. We then had a picnic lunch up at Douglas Head, overlooking the sweeping bay of Douglas and watched the ferry leave the harbour.

We then drove to Port Erin where Anna went to visit her grandma whilst Morgan and I set off to find a geocache on the seafront. This cache was a puzzle cache so after answering the questions that provided us with the coordinates we sat in the sun eating an ice cream before setting off to fond the actual cache. We realised that not only had we now equalled our record for consecutive days geocaching (6 days) but that we had also had ice-creams for at least that many days as well… I think the consecutive days eating ice-cream is going to be a record we’ll enjoy beating!

Morgan and I then wandered across the beach and found the cache without any problems and then walked back to the corner where we met Anna. It was now getting on a bit so we started heading back to Pats house, stopping off first at a nice cache in Colby Millenium Woods, next at a cache that we couldn’t find along the roadside and then another at Colby Train Station that we did manage to find.

Another busy day full of activities on the Isle of Man with a delicious burger and wedges for dinner.
